Happy 4th of July!

Can you believe it’s July already?  We hope you’ve been enjoying the summer!   Keep reading for our July Special, New Products and Recipe.  We will be closed July 4th.  Don’t forget to stock up on all of your weekend essentials before Saturday!

JULY MEAT SPECIAL:  In honor of National Hot Dog Month, our Hot Dogs will be $5.09/lb.   They come in Chili Dogs, Locker Dogs and Cheddar Dogs. Not to be left out, our Brats will also be on sale for $2.89/lb.  (There is a 10 pound limit on brats.)  Our brats come in Kornfest, Jamaican Me Crazy, Chico’s Taco, Wild Rice and Beer flavors.  Please call 608-526-3112  for flavor availability.  **All flavors may not be available each day.

June 29-July 3:  10 Pounds of Chicken Breast for only $30!  Just in time to stock up for the weekend!

In honor of National Hot Dog Month, what better recipe to share than one for a Chicago Dog!

Recipe:

Needed ingredients: 4 Holmen Locker Hot Dogs, 4 hot dog buns with poppyseeds, 1 small onion, 3-4 teaspoons sweet pickle relish, 1 cold-pack kosher dill pickle, 1 small tomato sliced into julienne strips, 4-8 pickled sport bell peppers, dusseldorf-style brown mustard, celery seed, poppy seed and beer.

Directions: Simmer the hot dogs in beer or water for approximately 20 minutes.  Warm buns until slightly warm and soft.  Insert hot dogs.  Add mustard to taste; top with dill spear, relish, onion, tomato and 1-2 sport peppers.  Sprinkle with celery salt and poppy seeds.

Serve and enjoy!  *Jalapeño peppers may be substituted for sport peppers.

  • The Wine Bar will be closed July 3rd.  It will be open the rest of the month Friday nights from 4-7pm.  Select glasses of red or white wine will be $5.
